On Armistice Day this year, Rupert Hill (staff 86 – 21) who is a life Vice President of the Old Dovorian Club, attended the school’s Armistice Day service with his father, who holds the Lieutenant of the Victorian Order (LVO) for personal service to the late Queen, and is a veteran of the Korean War, along with his grandson, making three generations of the Hill family present at this important event of remembrance.

The service was held in the School Chapel and the act of remembrance was conducted in front of Captain Wilfred (Billy) Nevil’s statue in front of School House, over looking the Close in the presence of the whole school, family and friends of pupils of Dover College, as well as distinguished guests.

Among those assembled were members of the Reserve Armed Forces, pupils who are part of the various armed forces cadet units, and veterans.
