Empowering Futures. Enriching Lives. Honouring Legacy
The Old Dovorian Trust stands as a beacon of generosity and vision, dedicated to enriching the educational journey at Dover College. Founded by Old Dovorians, this dynamic charitable foundation reflects a deep-rooted commitment to nurturing talent, expanding opportunity, and celebrating tradition.
From bursaries that open doors for students of all backgrounds to transformative campus projects, the Trust’s impact is felt across Dover College. Recent initiatives include the restoration of the historic 12th Century Refectory, the revitalisation of the Cricket Pavilion at Maxton, and the installation of modern kitchen facilities at Leamington House—each enhancing the student experience in meaningful ways.
But the Trust’s mission goes beyond bricks and mortar. Each year, it provides bursaries to support pupils’ education and proudly sponsors the Rupert Hill Kindness in Action Award, presented annually at Prize Day to honour compassion and character.
Every endeavour reflects the Trust’s belief in a well-rounded, inclusive, and inspiring education. By honouring the past and investing in the future, the Old Dovorian Trust helps shape generations of confident, compassionate, and capable young people.
In response to growing financial pressures faced by families, the Trust has increased its annual contribution from £10,000 to £15,000. These funds, earmarked for bursaries and scholarships, will be distributed by Dover College to students most in need of support.
This uplift is more than a financial gesture—it’s a reaffirmation of the Trust’s enduring values and its unwavering dedication to the Old Dovorian community. It’s a powerful reminder that legacy, when paired with generosity, can truly shape the future.
