Dear Old Dovorians,

The photo banner on the OD website of a bunch of us in our later 50s was put up earlier in the Summer. I’m on the far left of the photo and fortunately you can’t see me unless you find the photo elsewhere on the website!  This followed a memorable 40th anniversary reunion of my year of 1984-leavers.  It was a great turn-out and something that I hope other year groups can reciprocate in the years to come – whether it be 5, 10, 20, 30 or even 50 years – though the latter age group did put on a great event at the RAF Club in late September this year. You are never too old to rock up to a party, have fun and meet old friends.

As a Club, it’s our aim to keep all ODs connected regardless of whether they left very recently or some years ago or where they live in the world.  We have local groups in East Kent, London, Nigeria and Hong Kong.  If you want to set up a group elsewhere in the world then please tell us and we will be happy to support you and help with the marketing.

From a sporting point of view, we continue to support the Golf Society and this Summer, successfully put on a couple of games of entertaining cricket with the OD Cricket Club at Folkestone.  We didn’t lose the test series overall!  More matches are planned for next season so please look out for the fixtures.
