An Evening of Camaraderie Aboard HMS Wellington
In a delightful fusion of tradition and camaraderie, the Old Dovorian Armed and Reserve Forces Group, alongside the OD London group, gathered for a memorable evening aboard HMS Wellington, gracefully moored along the picturesque banks of the Thames. The quarter deck transformed into a vibrant setting for cocktails and socializing, creating an atmosphere of warmth and connection.
While many of our serving Armed Forces ODs were unable to join due to military commitments, the evening still sparkled with joy as we welcomed Brigadier Simon Levey (P74 – 79). This event marked his first attendance since leaving Dover College, making it a special occasion for all. We were also thrilled to see Dr Tamara Common (D00 – 05) one of the Club’s newest committee members, adding fresh energy to our gathering.
A highlight of the evening was the sight of the Old Dovorian Flag proudly flying from HMS Wellington. As a valued member of His Majesty’s fleet and the London base of our Club, this ship holds a special place in our hearts. We extend our deepest gratitude to the HMS Wellington Trust for their unwavering support and commitment to our community.
