Final Fixture of the Year: Lamberhurst Golf Club – Thursday 16th October 2025
We’re delighted to announce that our final official fixture of the calendar year will take place at the picturesque Lamberhurst Golf Club on Thursday 16th October 2025 — please note this is a revised date from the printed fixture card, as previously advised by email.
Nestled across both banks of the River Teise, Lamberhurst offers a stunning parkland course with sweeping views of the Kent and Sussex countryside — a fitting backdrop for our closing event of the season.

Cost & Booking
The charge for the day — including prizes — is £85, a generous reduction of £25 from last year’s Knole Park event.
Electric Trolleys (£10) and Buggies (£30) are available from the Pro Shop — please book early to avoid disappointment.
Competitions & Prizes
We’ll be competing for the prestigious President’s Cup, awarded to the player with the highest stableford score — assuming the trophy has recovered from its unfortunate mishap, as reported in The Times (2024).
Additional prizes include:
- Best Individual Stableford Score – The Dawes Cup and Captain’s Prize
- Team Competition – Best two stableford scores per hole, totalled
- Nearest the Pin – 7th Hole
Confirm Your Attendance
If you’ve already expressed interest, your place is considered confirmed unless you notify otherwise by Friday 12th September (as the club requires final numbers).
For everyone else — please check your diary and let us know by 12th September if you’re able to join us. We’d be thrilled to see you there.
Bruce Johnson Trophy – Final Chance!
This fixture is also your last opportunity to earn stableford points toward the Bruce Johnson (BJ) Salver, awarded to the player with the highest total from their best three rounds of the year.
There’s still plenty of opportunity to score from West Surrey and the Home Fixture at Rye — see previous email for details. Several contenders remain in the running!
ODGS AGM
As tradition dictates, our OD Golf Society AGM will follow lunch. It’s an informal gathering held in a quiet corner of the clubhouse — a chance to reflect, raise a glass, and look ahead.
